American photographer Curtis Moffat (1887–1949) spent time in Paris and London capturing photographic portraits of the 'bright young things' of the roaring twenties. Moffat first experimented with photography in Paris, while hanging out in the bohemian cultural circles with artists and writers like Man Ray,  Ezra Pound and Jean Cocteau. He then moved to London in 1925 and set up a studio. While in London Moffat created stylish portraits of leading society and arts figures. When not working in the studio he would take snapshots of friends and family enjoying life as well as more quirky and witty scenes of everyday objects.
