Derek Balmer Art Prints

Derek Balmer (born 1934) is a British artist and former President of the Royal West of England Academy. His exuberant paintings portray the colourful landscapes and cities of the Mediterranean. Often working from memory alone, his compositions reflect a rich, personal experience of travel. Balmer has been involved in the vibrant Bristol art scene since the 60s. He has became well known as a painter, art critic and photographer with regular exhibitions across the country.
