‘Whistler painted several views across the Thames. I like this one because although obviously figurative it has the feel of an abstract in its mood and its colours. I hung the print as soon as it arrive and it adds considerably to the pleasure of walking into my sitting room where it sits on the wall opposite the door. Well done to King and McGaw for stocking this and for being quietly efficient in dealing with me over its delivery date.’
